Tim and Myles Thompson - Jan. 11 2009

Coolwater joined with the Pines Resort at Bass Lake to Present the 2008 Winfield International Fingerstyle Champion. Tim played with powerful chops and treated us to his original works along with pieces by Chick Corea and other jazz masters. From Rock to Jazz to a bit of traditional bluegrass, Tim and his son Myles, who joined him on fiddle, presented one intriguing intricate tune after the next. Myles' shy charm turned into fiendish intensity as he attacked "Red Haired Boy" with a gusto and technique that reminds us he is indeed the Champs' son.
