Michael Chapdelaine

On October 25th, 2008 Coolwater proudly presented Mr. Michael Chapdelaine, an extraordinary classical and steel string player. Chapdelaine played riveting originals, gorgeously rendered classical pieces and gracefully re-designed pop tunes. I'm usually somewhat put off by 'cover tunes', and Michael knew this...so, it became the joke of the evening....and there is nothing he played that I regret. It was a brilliantly thought out program and his grace under less than perfect circumstances (a finicky bad wire caused some sound issues in the first set and he played a fair amount of it completely unplugged) was GREATLY appreciated.

Michael has a lovely singing voice as well. I was unaware that he has incorporated some vocals into his concerts, but vocals, instrumentals, pop tunes, classical pieces and some very poetic and complex originals all meshed to make the evening another wonderful night at the Ranch. Thank you Michael, we look forward to your return.
